The State Government has sanctioned Rs. 56.67 crore for the beautification and enhancement of basic amenities at Mata Shri Chintpurni Temple in Una district. This allocation has been made on the directive of Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu to improve facilities for devotes and boost religious tourism in the State. The sanctioned amount will be utilized to establish a modern queue complex with a lift facility, ensure a purified drinking water supply and provide CCTV coverage across the entire temple premises. Additionally, a plastic shredder and a solid waste, recycling and management plant will also be set up to maintain cleanliness and dispose of waste efficiently in the complex.
To further facilitate devotees, proper signage would also be installed and shops for the local vendors will also be constructed. These initiatives aim to enhance the overall experience of the pilgrims visiting the temple.
A Government Spokesperson said that the present State Government, under the leadership of Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, is actively promoting religious tourism by upgrading infrastructure and providing improved amenities for visitors. He said that Mata Shri Chintpurni Temple is a renowned Shaktipeeth of North India, attracting lakhs of devotees each year and the proposed facilities will significantly contribute to making pilgrims more convenient and comfortable.
