Punjab Plans NRI Milni at Chamrour, Pathankot: Dhaliwal

Chandigarh, January 30: The Punjab government will organize a NRI Milni program of NRIs at Chamrour (mini Goa) in Pathankot district on February 3. In this meet, the issues of the NRIs of Pathankot, Amritsar, Gurdaspur and Hoshiarpur districts will be redressed.

Punjab would host a NRI Milni program

NRI Affairs Minister Punjab  Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal announced that the Punjab government would host a NRI Milni program on February 3.

The Chief Minister Punjab Bhagwant Singh Mann will inaugurate the event.

Dhaliwal underscored that the organisation of the NRI Milni by the Punjab government involves meticulous planning, with the district administration of Pathankot actively coordinating under the expert guidance of the NRI affairs department.

Objective of the milni program

Furthermore, he emphasized that while the primary objective of the milni program is to address the concerns of NRIs, it also serves as a platform to showcase Punjab’s breathtaking natural landscapes and cultural heritage.

This aims to entice NRI tourists to explore the state’s offerings.

Earnest appeal to NRIs

In an earnest appeal to NRIs hailing from Punjab, Dhaliwal urged their participation in the NRI meet scheduled at Chamrour (mini Goa) in Pathankot on February 3.

His call reflects the unwavering commitment of the Punjab government to cater to the needs and aspirations of the Punjabi diaspora, ensuring their welfare and engagement in the state’s developmental journey.
