Review works of Water Supply : Jimpa holds high-level meeting

Directs officials for timely completion of ongoing projects

Chandigarh, January 2: updatepunjab : On Tuesday, Water Supply and Sanitation Minister Bram Shanker Jimpa led a review works of Water Supply and and Sanitation . Jimpa led a review meeting with top officials at his office, emphasising timely completion of projects delivering clean water to villages. Jimpa, under Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann’s leadership, prioritized essential facilities for villages, urging swift progress on canal water projects. Highlighting non-potable groundwater in many state villages, especially in the Kandi area, Jimpa advocated purifying canal water through treatment plants for improved water supply.

Review works of Water Supply

He urged the swift progress of ongoing canal water projects across various areas of Punjab. Jimpa highlighted that the groundwater in many state villages is non-potable, and some are situated in the Kandi area. Consequently, water supply will be facilitated by purifying canal water through treatment plants in these villages.           Jimpa said that he will personally inspect the under constructed projects to assess the ground situation. Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann is set to dedicate the nearing completion projects to the people of Punjab.

He committed to personally inspecting ongoing projects and announced Chief Minister Mann’s dedication to unveiling completed projects for Punjab’s residents. The Minister also addressed water testing labs, sampling, NOCs, and other public concerns in the comprehensive meeting attended by department officials.
