RAJ LALI GILL ASSUMES THE CHARGE AS CHAIRPERSON OF THE PUNJAB STATE COMMISSION FOR WOMEN
Chandigarh, March 15: The newly appointed Chairperson of the Punjab State Commission for Women, Raj Lali Gill, assumed her post today in the presence of Punjab Sports and Youth Services Minister Gurmeet Singh Meet Hayer.
On this occasion, Cabinet Minister Meet Hayer expressed hope that the newly appointed Chairperson is honest, hardworking, impartial, and forward-thinking, and she will perform her responsibility eloquently. He said that she would act as a bridge between the government and institutions for the effective implementation of pro-women policies. The Cabinet Minister congratulated Raj Lali Gill and expressed hope that the welfare of women would ensured by implementing schemes related to women’s welfare in the state.
Mrs. Raj Lali Gill expressed gratitude to Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann. She said that she will fulfill the responsibility given to her with full dedication. While assuming the post, she stated that the Punjab government had entrusted her with the duty of ensuring the welfare of women. She will perform this duty with utmost honesty and diligence.
Notably, Raj Lali Gill, a resident of SAS Nagar, has long been involved with NGOs advocating for women’s welfare.
On this occasion, Harchand Singh Barsat, Chairman Punjab Mandi Board, Narinder Singh Shergill Chairman Milkfed, Prabhjot Kaur Chairman District Planning Board Mohali, Sukhjinder Singh Kaoni Chairman, Mangal Singh Jalandhar Chairman, Aatam Prakash Singh Bablu Chairman, Manjit Sidhu and famous artist Karamjit Anmol were present.
