CEO Reveals Electoral Details for 13 Lok Sabha Constituencies

Chandigarh, March 15: Punjab’s Chief Electoral Officer (CEO), Sibin C, has released data on the polling stations and voters across the 13 Lok Sabha seats. As of March 1, 2024, Punjab has a total of 2,12,71,246 voters, including 1,19,29,959 male voters, 1,07,75,543 female voters, and 744 transgender voters. Across these seats, 24,433 polling stations have been set up.

Gurdaspur Lok Sabha seat hosts 1895 polling stations

Divulging the details, the Gurdaspur Lok Sabha seat hosts 1895 polling stations with a total of 15,95,300 voters. This includes 8,44,299 male voters, 7,50,965 female voters, and 36 transgender voters. Similarly, the Amritsar seat accommodates 1676 polling stations. It caters to 15,93,846 voters, which encompasses 8,36,966 male voters, 7,56,820 female voters, and 60 transgender voters.

Khadoor Sahib, 1974 polling stations

In Khadoor Sahib, 1974 polling stations cater to 16,55,468 voters, including 8,70,337 male voters, 7,85,067 female voters, and 64 transgender voters. Shifting focus to Jalandhar (SC), there are 1951 polling stations serving a total of 16,41,872 voters, comprising 8,54,048 male voters, 7,87,781 female voters, and 43 transgender voters.

Hoshiarpur (SC), there are 1963 polling stations

Turning to Hoshiarpur (SC), there are 1963 polling stations and a total of 15,93,018 voters. Among them are 8,26,679 male voters and 7,66,296 female voters, along with 43 transgender voters.

Similarly, for Anandpur Sahib, there are 2066 polling stations in operation. The total number of voters stands at 17,11,255, encompassing 8,93,567 male voters, 8,17,627 female voters, and 61 transgender voters.

Ludhiana has 1842 polling stations with 17,28,619 voters

Ludhiana has 1842 polling stations with 17,28,619 voters, including 9,22,005 males, 8,06,484 females, and 130 transgender voters. Fatehgarh Sahib (SC) has 1820 polling stations, with 15,39,155 voters, comprising 8,16,775 males, 722,353 females, and 27 transgender voters.

Faridkot  has 1688 polling stations, with a total of 1,578,937 voters

Faridkot (SC) has 1688 polling stations, with a total of 1,578,937 voters, including 834,493 males, 744,363 females, and 81 transgender voters. In contrast, the Firozpur seat boasts 1902 polling stations, accommodating a total of 16,57,131 voters. Moreover, unlike the previous seats, this constituency includes 8,73,684 male voters, along with 7,83,402 female voters and 81 transgender voters.

Diversity in Voter Representation Across Lok Sabha Constituencies

This constituency notably features a large number of polling stations, indicating a potentially diverse and widespread voter base. It includes 8,73,684 male voters, 7,83,402 female voters, and 81 transgender voters. Moving on to the Bathinda seat, it hosts a total of 1814 polling stations, accommodating 16,38,881 voters, with 8,63,989 males, 7,74,860 females, and 32 transgender voters.

The Sangrur seat, with 1765 polling stations, serves 15,50,017 voters, comprising 8,20,879 males, 7,29,092 females, and 46 transgender voters.

Lastly, shifting our attention to the Patiala seat, there are 2077 polling stations, accommodating a total of 17,87,747 voters, including 9,35,238 males, 8,52,433 females, and 76 transgender voters.
