Chandigarh, March 20, 2021

Reacting to the survey conducted by ABP– C voter, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) said that the people were aggrieved over the non-fulfilment of their promises made by Captain Amarinder Singh and would form the AAP government in 2022 elections to teach Captain a lesson. Addressing the media at the party headquarters here on Saturday, AAP‘s Punjab affairs in-charge and MLA from Delhi Jarnail Singh said that the Captain government had not fulfilled any of the promises in the last four years. Showing the election manifesto released by the Congress party in 2017, Jarnail Singh said that it clearly stated of eradicating drug menace in four weeks, but now Captain Amarinder Singh was saying that he had promised to break the backbone of drugs and not to eliminate it.

“The reality is that Captain Amarinder Singh made promises before the elections on ‘Nau Nukte’ including eradication of various mafias, Ghar-Ghar Rozgar, reduction of electricity prices, eradication of drugs and other promises. But since coming to power, Captain has reneged on all his promises,” he added. Jarnail Singh further said that Captain Amarinder Singh had not come out of the royal farmhouse for four years and was running his government by sitting there. He said that the people of Punjab were fed up with the anti-people policies of the Congress.

The AAP leader said that before the 2017 elections, Captain Amarinder along with Prashant Kishor had made false promises to the people to win the elections. “Now that the elections are approaching, Prashant Kishore has been brought in by Captain, to lie again and cheat the people,” he added. He said that the people of Punjab were impressed by the work being done by Arvind Kejriwal’s government in Delhi for the people, and due to this, they want to form the Aam Aadmi Party government in Punjab. Jarnail Singh said that with formation of the AAP government in Punjab, the Arvind Kejriwal model of development would be implemented in the state and the party would work harder as per the expectations of the people.
