Welcoming Guests of Honour, esteemed speakers, and participants, Verma expressed gratitude for their commitments to SIPHER’s journey. He emphasised the exceptional courage of founders Dr. Rakesh Gupta and Dr. Sonu Goel, highlighting their foundational role.
Transitioning to SIPHER’s achievements, they’ve conducted 147 events in Smoke Free India collaboration with organizations like E-RCTC PGIMER Chandigarh, The Union, WHO, HIA, and ECHO India.
They announced an upcoming Induction Program on Tobacco Cessation (IPTC) for doctors with over 80 registrations.
Dr. Rakesh Gupta shared Dr. Mira Aghi’s endgame message and provided insights into endgame definitions. Guests of honor, Dr. PC Gupta and Dr. Monika Arora, were acknowledged.
Highlighting SIPHER’s achievements, they’ve organized 147 events with partners like E-RCTC PGIMER Chandigarh, The Union, WHO, HIA, and ECHO India. Preet Kaur Gill emphasized setting a clear goal for a Tobacco-Free Generation (TFG). Binoy Mathew emphasized the media’s role in shaping public perception in Tobacco Control and Endgame strategy. Dr. Monika Arora stressed the importance of youth and community engagement for a meaningful tobacco control endgame.
