Chandigarh, February 23- In a compassionate move towards the family of the young farmer Shubhkaran Singh, who attained martyrdom at Khanauri border, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann announced significant support measures. This includes offering a government job to the deceased’s sister and providing financial assistance worth Rs 1 crore to the grieving family of .SHUBHKARAN

Government’s Unwavering Support:

The Chief Minister, with humility, described the gesture extended to the martyr’s family, who tragically lost his life during the ongoing protest at the Haryana border. Furthermore, he reiterated the state government’s steadfast support for the bereaved family in this critical hour and pledged every possible effort to assist them. Additionally, reaffirming the state’s unwavering stance, Bhagwant Singh Mann assured comprehensive support and cooperation to the family, both socially and economically, thereby emphasising it as the moral responsibility of the state government. Moreover, he stressed the importance of standing by the families of those who have made sacrifices for the greater good of society.

Justice for the Fallen Farmers:

Reiterating the firm commitment of the state government, the Chief Minister vowed to bring the perpetrators of the gruesome murder of young farmers to justice. He emphasised that the state would register FIRs against those responsible for the youth’s death and ensure exemplary punishment for them.

Condemnation of Unjust Treatment:

Bhagwant Singh Mann condemned the unfair obstruction faced by farmers from peacefully protesting in the national capital by hostile forces. He highlighted the unjust and intolerable treatment inflicted upon them, accentuating the significant contributions of Punjabis to the nation’s freedom struggle, post-independence self-reliance, and border security.
