Attack on Sukhbir reprehensible, Amarinder responsible for spreading culture of violence: BJP

Punjab BJP president Ashwani Sharma has strongly condemned the attack on Shiromani Akali Dal president Sukhbir Badal in Jalalabad today and demanded that the culprits must be brought to book.
In a statement he said the BJP was against the culture of violence and regretted that the BJP’s earlier warning against such incidents were ignored by the Amarinder Singh government when the BJP leaders were attacked by unlawful elements.
“Had the state government taken any deterrent steps when the BJP leaders and offices were being attacked the law and order situation in the state would have been far better”, Sharma added.
He blamed the Congress and the chief minister for allowing long rope to disruptive elements in the state and demanded strong police action against them.
