The concluding function of Vigilance Awareness Week was organized at ICAR–Central Potato Research Institute (CPRI), Shimla, with the objective of reinforcing the values of transparency, accountability, and integrity in public service. The event marked the culmination of a week-long series of activities aimed at promoting awareness about vigilance and ethical conduct among the staff members of the Institute. The programme was started on October 27, 2025 with an oath taken by the all staffs of CPRI, Shimla. Ashok Tiwari, IPS, Director General, State Vigilance and Anti-Corruption Bureau, Himachal Pradesh, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest.

In his address, he elaborated on the various forms of corruption that affect institutions and society at large, and the need for adopting preventive vigilance as a collective responsibility. He also shared valuable insights on how ethical behavior, honesty, and commitment to duty can significantly contribute to building a corruption-free work environment. The Chief Guest appreciated the initiatives taken by ICAR-CPRI to sensitize its staff on the importance of vigilance and integrity. He encouraged all employees to actively participate in creating a transparent and responsible organizational culture. Dr Brajesh Singh, Director, ICAR-CPRI, Shimla mentioned that the observance of Vigilance Awareness Week at ICAR-CPRI served as a reminder of the Institute’s continued commitment to ethical governance and accountability.During the event, Dr. Vinay Sagar, Vigilance Officer announced the winners of the Vigilance Awareness Week Quiz Competition, organized during the observance, and were felicitated for their enthusiastic participation and commendable performance.The programme concluded with an interactive session and a vote of thanks by the Rajat Sethi, Head of Office to the Chief Guest for his inspiring address and valuable guidance. Some glimpses of the occasion reflected the collective resolve of the staff to uphold the spirit of integrity and transparency in all spheres of work.
