The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Punjab got a major boost on Monday, when a large number of people from different districts of Punjab working in different fields joined the party. In the presence of AAP Punjab incharge and MLA from Delhi Jarnail Singh and state general secretary Harchand Singh Barsat, several leaders from Fatehgarh Sahib, Patiala and Mohali districts joined the party.
Among those who joined AAP on Monday were Harnek Singh Diwana from Fatehgarh Sahib who had been active in politics in Bassi Pathana area and had contested elections several times before. He along with his associates, Nirmaljit Singh Diwana, general secretary of Legal Cell of Congress party, Chetan Mohan Joshi from Mohali, who had been working for DD Punjabi since 2001 and is national secretary of Brahman Sabha, Bhagwan Das Singla, uncle of Education Minister Vijay Inder Singla from Patiala district, who had retired from the post of Mandi Officer, Justice Amar Nath (retd)], who was judge at Punjab and Haryana High Court, J P Singla, retired additional director Panchayati Raj, advocates – Varinder Jindal, Vinod Kumar Singla, Karan Sharma, Johnny Kumar, Satish Garg, Gaurav Kumar, Harpreet Singh, Gurpreet Singh, Harpreet Singh, Shaktipal Singh, Jatinder Singh, Heera Singh, Aman Singh, Malkit Singh, Harjeet Singh, Pinku Kumar, Bhupinder Singh, Tirlok Singh, Mahinder Singh, Dilsher Singh, Davinder Singh, Gulshan Singh and Makhan Khan joined the AAP.
Apart from this Bhagwant Singh Ghuk, former chairman co-operative market processing society, Bassi Pathana, Beant Singh Charri, former Block Samiti member Khamanon, Dilbagh Singh, former sarpanch Charri village, Darshan Singh, general secretary DCC, FGS, Jagtar Singh, Satpal Singh, former sarpanch Badwala, Satnam Singh, former sarpanch Ratton, Gurdeep Singh, principal, Rajinder Singh Damheri, former Block Samiti member Bassi, Tejinder Singh Dhiman, Narinder Singh Tiwana, Jagjit Singh Aujla, Hardeep Singh Diwana, Jasmeet Singh, president Draftsman Association Punjab and Hardeep Singh Badesha joined the party.
Also, NRIs Raghbir Singh Dhillon from Canada and Sher Singh Dhindsa from Germany joined the Aam Aadmi Party. Welcoming all who joined the party, AAP Punjab incharge Jarnail Singh said that people were joining the party day by day as they were impressed by the pro-people policies of the Aam Aadmi Party and the work being done by Arvind Kejriwal. The leaders who joined the party said that whatever responsibility would be given to them, they would work diligently to strengthen the party.
