Chief Minister’s Vision: Transforming Punjab into “Rangla Punjab”
Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann leads the State Government’s continuous efforts to transform Punjab into “Rangla Punjab”. Local Government Minister Balkar Singh highlighted several development works currently in progress during a meeting held at the Municipal Bhawan. These projects, under the Swachh Bharat Mission, AMRUT Mission, and the 15th Finance Commission, aim to modernize infrastructure and benefit citizens.

In the presence of NRI Affairs Minister Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal, Power Minister Harbhajan Singh ETO, MLAs, and Halka Incharges, Balkar Singh reviewed the progress of development projects. He stressed timely completion, quality, and transparency, emphasizing that successful completion will enhance civic facilities.
Strengthening Local Participation for Effective Governance
Balkar Singh stressed involving constituency MLAs to align development with people’s needs, providing detailed project status and funding information. He urged officials to prioritize sewerage and cleanliness, repair street lights, and beautify cities.
