Chandigarh, February 12: A delegation led by Mr. Raj Chauhan, Speaker, British Columbia BC (Canada) called on the Speaker of Punjab Legislative Assembly S. Kultar Singh Sandhwan. Meanwhile, both the leaders emphasised on strengthening mutual cooperation between Punjab and British Columbia.

During the meeting at the Punjab Vidhan Sabha, Mr. Sandhwan emphasised on strengthening the cooperation between Punjab and British Columbia in agriculture, industry, technology and other fields. The PVS Speaker said that both the States can benefit from mutual exchange of knowledge and technology in various fields.

1. Sandhwan also urged Mr. Raj Chauhan to actively encourage Canadian companies to invest in Punjab, highlighting the state’s investment-friendly environment. In response, Mr. Raj Chauhan reflected on the historical relations between British Columbia and Punjab, emphasizing the longstanding connection between the two regions.
2. He commended the diligent work ethic of Punjabis and expressed British Columbia’s commitment to fostering robust bilateral cooperation with Punjab. Mr. Raj Chauhan underscored that such collaboration will enhance and solidify the relationship between the two states.
