Three girls of Punjab Secretariat Sports Club got selected
Chandigarh, September 09, 2021: The Government of India, Central Civil Services Cultural and Sports Board today conducted trials for boys and girls for All India Services Badminton Championship. The trials were held at Sports Stadium, Sector 78, Mohali. On this occasion trials were given by boys and girls working in government departments. The girls team of Punjab Civil Secretariat also participated in these trials. Club President Bhupinder Singh and Finance Secretary Naveen Sharma told the media that Punjab Secretariat Cricket and Sports Club has been active in sports activities of its employees since 2006. Recently, badminton and volleyball teams of Secretariat employees have also been formed which are practicing continuously. Today it is a matter of pride for them that three girls of Punjab Civil Secretariat have succeeded in Badminton Trials who will play All India Services matches in future. Among the successful girls are team captain Kanwalpreet Kaur, Sukhjit Kaur and Hardeep Kaur. Chief Patron of the Club and Deputy Principal Secretary to Chief Minister Gurinder Singh Sodhi congratulated the entire team on the occasion. The patron of the club, S. Janak Singh said that it is a matter of great pride for the Secretariat that 3 girls have been selected for this tournament. Punjab Secretariat Cricket and Sports Club’s Vice President Satish Kumar, General Secretary Neeraj Prabhakar, Press Secretary Gurpreet Singh and Joint Secretary Gurveer Singh were also present on the occasion
