A programme organized on the occasion, was attended by members, office bearers and workers of PYC from different parts of the state.

Warring, while congratulating the newly inducted Office Bearers and President of PYC, emphasized on the importance of Three Ds in life – dedication, discipline, and dialogue. He said that these were essential for a focused and successful career, regardless of the filed. Everyone wants to become successful but we all must remember that there are no shortcuts to success. If you all really want to achieve success in life, imbibe these qualities and work hard to build a better future, he said. Praising Mohindra for his dedication and commitment, Warring added that Mohindra was known for his clean image and his ability to connect with the youth. He added that the leadership was hopeful that he would do the best for the state and would keep raising issues related to the youth.

Leader of Opposition Partap Singh Bajwa while welcoming the newly appointed and elected members of the Punjab Youth Congress said that there was no place for people without Congress pedigree in the party. He said that Congress is not just a political party, it is an emotion that runs in the blood and anyone who is a part of the party that sacrificed several of its leaders for the nation, must dedicate himself wholeheartedly to preserve the value of the party and serve the Nation and its people.

Replying to a media query about an alliance with Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), Bajwa said that Congress had always stood by its people and raised its voice to safeguard their constitutional rights. He also said that the Congress is committed to the welfare of the people of Punjab and will not compromise on its principles. Ruling out any alliance with AAP in the state, the leader of opposition added that Congress would defeat the AAP in the next assembly elections.

Saying that honest efforts never go waste, he said that Congress would provide its workers and leaders ample opportunities if they focus on selflessly serving. Don’t waste precious time in cribbing or traveling to Delhi for complaints, instead work harder for the party and serve the people.

The newly elected Punjab Youth Congress president Mohit Mohindra while expressing his gratitude to all the senior leaders, after assuming charge, vowed to rebuild the party and bring it back to power in the next parliamentary elections.
