Divisional Commissioner lauds efforts of district administration in ensuring doorstep delivery of ration to flood stricken areas in Sardulgarh area of Mansa

*MLA, Divisional Commissioner, DC assures villagers of Rorki, Sadhuwala of complete help

Sardulgarh / Mansa, July 22

                MLA Sardulgarh Gurpreet Singh Banawali,  Divisional Commissioner Faridkot Range Chander Gaind and DC Rishi Pal Singh and DC Bathinda Showkat Ahmed Parray today visited flood stricken areas of Sardulgarh including Rorki, Sadhuwala and relief camp at Bal Vatika Public School. SDM Sardulgarh Amarinder Singh Mallhi, SDM Budhlada Pramod Singla and assistant commissioner Harjinder Singh Jassal were also present.

                Divisional Commissioner said that MLA Gurpreet Singh Banawali and his team have played a commendable role by erecting a bandh on Sardulgarh Sirsa main road and saving the city.

                At village Sadhuwala he said that the water level has receded giving much needed respite to people. Machineries have been pressed and teams are working on rescue and relief. People from flooded areas have been shifted to other safer places as well as the relief camps. Food is being distributed to flooded areas as well aa the areas where bandh has been constructed.

                MLA Gurpreet Singh Banawali lauded the efforts of administration in reaching out to the distressed.

                Deputy Commissioner Rishipal Singh said that at sub division Sardulgarh 500 people and at Budhlada 290 people have been moved to relief camps. 10 camps have been set up at Sardulgarh and 11 at Budhlada. 246 animals are in Sardulgarh camp and 30 at Budhlada.

                Similarly there are 9 medical team at. Sardulgarh and two Rapid response teams. At Budhlada there are 13 medical teams and two rapid response teams. 10 veterinary teams are deputed at Sardulgarh and 4 at Budhlada.
