
Two Arrested in Amritsar for Spying; Links to Pakistani Intelligence Unearthed
Amritsar, May 3, 2025: In a major breakthrough in counter-espionage operations, the Amritsar Rural Police arrested two individuals—Palak Sher Masih and Suraj Masih—on charges of leaking sensitive information and photographs of Indian Army Cantonment areas and Air Bases in Amritsar.
According to initial investigations, the duo was allegedly in contact with Pakistani intelligence operatives. Their link to Harpreet Singh alias Pittu alias Happy, currently lodged in Amritsar Central Jail, has also come to light as part of the probe.
A case has been registered against them under the Official Secrets Act. The investigation is ongoing, and officials expect more critical revelations as the case unfolds.
Reaffirming its commitment to national security, the Punjab Police stated that it stands firmly with the Indian Army. Authorities have warned that any attempt to compromise the country’s security will face swift and decisive action.
