The problem of cow dung being dumped in ‘Buddha Dariya’ needs resolution. Local bodies minister Dr Ravjot Singh and MP Seechewal have given directions to the PEDA officials. They instructed them to speed up the projects. These projects involve establishing biogas plants in Haibowal and Tajpur road dairy complexes. The goal is proper disposal of cow dung. One biogas plant is already operational in Haibowal dairy plant. An additional plant must be established in Haibowal dairy complex. This plant would use cow dung to generate biogas.

The civic body officials have new directives. They must hire private players to lift cow dung from dairy complexes. The cow dung should be dumped at designated points. This will continue until biogas plants are made functional by PEDA. Civic body officials stated that machinery has already been deployed. Man power is also in place for lifting cow dung from dairy units. They are dumping the same at two designated points. Tenders would now be floated for hiring contractors for the same.
