BJP, Akalis & Aam Aadmi Party will again face big jolt in Assembly Elections-2022

Chandigarh, February 17: Punjab Local Bodies Minister and senior Congress leader Brahm Mahindra said that giving their full support to the Congress party in civic elections, the electors of the state of Punjab have posed full faith in our development-oriented policies thus awarded our candidates with a huge victory coupled with gigantic margins.

Expressing gratitude towards voters, Mohindra asserted, voters maintained utmost peace during the election process, adding that Punjab Government has left no stone unturned in providing quality urban amenities to the people of the state and the Local Bodies department had provided seamless services, especially during the lockdown to prevent Corona pandemic. He said that in view of the pro-people policies of the state government, the voters have shown their confidence in our government and their confidence will further be maintained by fulfilling the commitments made by us.

Local Bodies Minister said that this landslide victory has proved that the people of the state have expressed a positive attitude towards the steps and decisions taken by the Capt. Amarinder Singh-led state government in the public interest. With this massive victory, now our responsibilities have enhanced further, the minister said, “I am assuring, the Punjab government would continue its urban development work on a war footing and would win the assembly elections in 2022 just like these civic elections.

Expressing concern over the New ‘Agricultural Laws’, he said that it is unfortunate that the issues of the farmers’ unions are not being heard by the Modi-led Union government. He said that it is also unacceptable that BJP leaders are using uncultured language to provoke farmers and even then farmer unions are staging their protest peacefully. That is why public outrage has completely wiped out the BJP from Punjab.

Mr. Mohindra said that like BJP, the people of Punjab have also rejected the SAD and Aam Aadmi Party and the fate of these parties would witness the same results in the upcoming assembly elections.
