Three FIRs registered in the last 24 hours for bogus billing cases: Ashu

In the last 24 hours,Food and Civil Supplies department has got registered three FIRs in different cases for bringing rice for illegal recycling / bogus billing from other states in Punjab.
Disclosing this here today Bharat Bhushan Ashu, Minister for Food and Civil Supplies, Punjab said that two trucks have been seized at Moonak border in Sangrur district while a third truck has been seized at Shambhu border in Patiala district.
He said that 800 quintals of rice has been recovered from these trucks.
Ashu said that truck number HR 69 C 5323 was found at Munak border was Carrying 349.40 quintals of rice from JP Dewal Rice Mill, Banda city of Shahjahanpur. in the name of Shiv Shankar Enterprises of Jakhal Mandi, Haryana.
Police has registered case No. 109 dated 9-10-2021 under Section 420 and 120 IPC of IPC 1860 in munak Police station.
A similar case has been registered against Truck Driver Dana Ram NL 07 GB 7531 and firm Owners own under sections 420 and 120 of the 1860 Act. Case No. 110 dated 10-10-2021 has been registered.
Mr. Ashu further said that due to the vigilance of the Flying Squads of the Food and Civil Supplies Department, had impound a truck no NL. 01 AB 5584 at Shambhu border of Patiala district for Carrying a 152 quintals rice loaded from BL traiders of Burdwan, West Bengal to RK Industries of Fazilka.
A case has been registered under sections 420, 511 and 120B of 1860.
