The Vice President awarded Ninder Ghugianvi the Sahitya Ratna
Chandigarh: Panjab University Chandigarh conferred ‘Sahitya Ratna’ on Ninder Ghugianvi, the author of 68 books on the occasion of its 71st convocation yesterday

Vice President and Chancellor of the University Mr. Jagdeep Dhankhar presented the award to Ninder Ghugianvi
An author, only a 9th pass and just 48 years old, holds the position of Writer-in-Residence at Mahatma Gandhi International Hindi University, Wardha, Maharashtra. Additionally, about 12 students have completed their PhDs and M.phils on books authored by him.
Vice-Chancellor Dr. Renu Vig, while reading the letter of honor for Ghugianvi, highlighted his literary achievements.On this occasion the Vice President encouraged Ninder Ghugianvi and said that he was happy to know about his writings and the struggle of his life. During the event,Punjab Vidhan Sabha Speaker Kultar Singh Sandhwan, who was present, further added that Ninder Ghugianvi’s book ‘Main Saan Judge Da Aardali’ is his all-time favorite.
Among the distinguished guests who graced the occasion with their presence were the honorable Governor of Punjab, Sri Banwari Lal Purohit, the esteemed Governor of Haryana, Sri Bandaru Datta Tare, and the revered Education Minister, Harjot Singh Bains, alongside several other notable figures representing both the state and the university.
