Dubbing the manhandling of Arun Narang MLA from Malout by miscreants as the “ sad day” in the state’s history of touching the lowest ebb of decency and decorum Mr Ashwani Sharma BJP President said that the State government has totally failed to protect law and order.
Aghast at the deteriorating security situation in the state the BJP supremo of the state said that never has such an “ disgraceful incident happened “ in the political history of the country” political parties in a democratic set up have every right to protest and condemn but there is a a “ code of decency “ which is followed by civilised societies. “ the police could not protect its elected MLA what would a common man be subjected to if the mob takes over? Rued Ashwani Sharma. The only fault of the MLA was that he was holding an press conference against the “ misrule of four years” by Capt Amarinder Singh in Malout today. Said Sharma
Capt Amarinder Singh has no right to rule as Chief Minister and should immediately resign if he has any respect for the democratic values of governance. “ Capt has encouraged miscreants who in the garb of being farmers are let lose as “ goons on BJP leaders and workers. No Punjabi farmer can stoop down to this level of indecency. Its the goonda element which is being used by the congress party to intimidate and harass the innocent.
The BJP as a political party has every right to peacefully raise the dire issues being faced by the citizens of the state and this incident is to muzzle the voice of dissent. Lamentedn Ashwani Sharma.
BJP is a party which believes in “ Darama Politics “ and gives respect to all voices of dissent but it is also a party which knows how to protect itself if need arises. “ we strongly condemn this incident and blame the state government for its total mismanagement of the precarious situation arising of law and order in the state. “ unfortunately the level of petty politics which is marred with violence and disgrace is being practised by vested interests.
Out patience and fortitude is being misread . We want peace and prosperity for Punjab our home state and will leave no stone unturned to protect our people.
These are very challenging times in the state as many forces are working to create disharmony . Said Ashwani Sharma while making an appeal to the Punjabi’s to stand together and defeat these forces of petty politics.
