The punjabi author Ninder Ghugianvi whose story delighted the dignitaries including the vice president

On the occasion of the 71st Convocation of Punjab University Chandigarh where the author Ninder Ghughianvi was being escorted by the Professors to the stage for his award ceremony. The praise and applause that resounded the hall when Dr Renu Vij read the citation of Ninder Ji was an evident reason that the Vice President  took a couple of minutes to interact personally with Ninder Ji. The speaker of punjab Vidhan Sabha Sh. Kultar Singh Ji Sandhwan also could not stop himself and proudly announced that the author belongs to his area and he himself is a fan of his autobiographical  book titled;
 ” I was judge’s orderly “.
At this occasion, the Vice President’s  cheerfull remarks about Ninder ji, “Wow! What do you writers eat. ” delighted every one present.
        The major applause came from the audience who knew that Ninder  has       authored 68 books merely at the age of 48. He started his career as a peon in a Judge’s Court. Nimder who is just 9th pass but  12 students have completed PHD and M.phill on his litrary work . ​​At some point, he was also a Gardner at the Language Department of the Punjab Government at Patiala. And then one day to everyone’s surprise, he was nominated as a member of the State Advisory Board of the same department.His autobiography is translated into 15 Indian languages ​​and published in English by NBT, Government of India. Ninder Ghugianvi is the first Punjabi writer to hold the Writer-in-Resident Chair at the Mahatma Gandhi International Hindi University, Wardha, Maharashtra. In 2001, he was honored by the then Prime Minister Jeanne Crachian at the Parliament Hall in Ottawa during his visit to Canada and in 2005 he was also honored in the Parliament of United Kingdom .
              It was a moment of great pride and joy for everyone who loves the language and it’s literature when Ninder Ghugianvib was presented with ‘Sahit Ratna’ award by the Punjab  University Chandigarh.
