Sukhbir Badal assures full support to Numberdars of Punjab on their genuine demands
Delegation of Numberdar Union meets SAD President
Chandigarh, August 2: The Shiromani Akali Dal President Sukhbir Singh Badal today assured to fully support Numberdars of the Punjab in their genuine demands. He assured this to a delegation of Numberdar Union which met him today at party head office here today. Senior party leader Prof. Prem Singh Chandumajra was also present on the occasion.
In a statement released from the party head office, it was said that Badal told the visiting delegation of the Numberdar Unions that the SAD will ponder over their genuine demands and will include all such demands in party manifesto which the SAD led alliance will be able to complete after coming to power. He said that SAD is a party of principles and believes in only saying what it could accomplish.
Delegation led by Chief Patron Bhupinder Singh Gill, which included President Bhagat Ram Chaudhary, Satnam Singh, Gurjit Singh District President Mohali, Harpal Singh Mohali and Surjit Singh Raja besides others, told the former Deputy CM that Numberdar Union was demanded that this post be a hereditary post, their honorarium should be increased, Numberdars should be given relaxation in bus fare and toll taxes, they should be made members of District level Grievances Committees besides others, a room should be allotted to them in tehsil complexes, they should be awarded on August 15 and January 26 besides other demands.
