Massive Show of Strength Marks ‘Patiale Da Bharosa Preneet Kaur’ Nomination Roadshow

Historic Roadshow Marks Preneet Kaur's Nomination, Signals Victory for BJP in Patiala

Patiala, India – May 12, 2024 – In a spectacular display of support and enthusiasm, BJP’s Patiala Lok Sabha Candidate, Preneet Kaur, embarked on a monumental 2 km roadshow from Sherewalan Gate to Qila Chowk following her nomination, marking the start of her poll campaign. Joined by esteemed dignitaries including Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma, BJP Punjab President Sunil Jakhar, and BJP Punjab General Secretary Anil Sarin, Preneet Kaur covered the entire route in a specially branded vehicle, emblazoned with the resounding slogan – “Patiale Da Bharosa Preneet Kaur.” As per estimates, 12,000+ people walked along with the convoy for more than 3 hours.

Patiale Da Bharosa roadshow commenced with a vibrant display of traditional customs, as Preneet Kaur received a heartfelt welcome with the reverberating sound of Shankhnaad by purohits. Blessings were bestowed upon her by granthis and purohits, encapsulating the spiritual resonance of the occasion. Throngs of Patiala’s citizens lined the streets, eagerly awaiting a glimpse of their beloved leader, showering flower petals from rooftops and balconies as the convoy passed by. The atmosphere was electrified with chants of “Patiale Da Bharosa Preneet Kaur,” “Assi Rishta Nibhawange, Preneet Kaur Nu Jitawange,” “Phir Ek Baar, Modi Sarkar,” and “Jai Shri Ram.”

Addressing the fervent crowd gathered at Qila Chowk, Preneet Kaur said ” “This election is not merely about politics; it’s about renewal of “rishta” between me and the people of Patiala Lok Sabha. People’s unwavering “Bharosa” and “ashirwad” are my greatest treasures. She will ensure that she will do more work in the next 5 years than in the previous 20 years. Throughout my interactions with citizens across villages, nukkads and cities, one thing stands out – people of Patiala have immense faith in Modiji’s Gurantees. They have already made up their mind to vote for BJP, as they know that only Modiji can ensure a Vikasit Patiala and Vikasit Punjab. On 4th June, you will see the results – BJP will be the single largest party in Punjab. ”

Expressing gratitude to the impassioned crowd, Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma marveled at the unprecedented fervor witnessed during the roadshow. He said, “I have seen many elections, but never seen such passion and enthusiasm in the voters. Seeing your enthusiasm, I am sure that election is just a formality – Preneet Kaur will win from Patiala again. Modiji has made the impossible possible, he revoked Article 370 and he answered the prayers of thousands of devotees by opening Ram Mandir. He is now asking for 400 plus seats to ensure Vikasit Bharat. People of Punjab have seen through the charade of Congress and AAP – they are working as partners in Haryana and Delhi and acting as opponents here – they will not waste their votes on either of them.”

In a scathing critique of the incumbent AAP government, BJP Punjab President Sunil Jakhar lamented the deteriorating law and order situation in Punjab, contrasting it with the safety and security prevalent during Captain Amarinder’s tenure. He underscored the Patiala’s Bharosa in Preneet Kaur’s ability to address their concerns, be it the effective utilization of MPLAD funds or the provision of essential medical services.

Highlighting the diverse fabric of support, members of various communities congregated at designated “Swagat Points” along the route, reaffirming their “Bharosa” and “Rishta” with Preneet Kaur. These included representatives from the Purohit Samaj, Valmiki Samaj, Sikh Samaj, Bhawalpuriya Samaj, Women’s groups, Market Associations, and Ravidasia Samaj.  In a moving moment during the roadshow, the convoy stopped for a few moments when Preneet Kaur noticed a girl carrying her portrait near Anardana Chowk. She personally signalled the security to allow the girl to present the portrait to her.

Prior to filing her nomination paper, Preneet Kaur paid her obeisance at the historic Burj Baba Ala Singh Ji, Qila Mubarak, accompanied by her family members. She filed her nomination in the presence of BJP General Secretary Anil Sarin and her family members: son Yuvraj Raninder Singh, daughter Jai Inder Kaur and grandsons Nirvan Singh and Yaduinder Singh.
