Jimpa Reports Record Income from Registries in FY 2023-24, Surpassing Past 3 Years

Chandigarh, March 8: The exchequer of the Punjab Government led by the Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann is witnessing increase with each passing year, from the registries. The Revenue Minister Bram Shanker Jimpa said that the State Government has witnessed record income from the registries of the assets during the Financial Year 2023-24 in comparison to the previous three years.

Jimpa said that ensuring a responsive, transparent, corruption free and hassle free service mechanism to the people of the State is the primary task of the State Government and it is due to this, that the coffers of the State are expanding continuously.

Giving details, Jimpa said that during the FY 2023-24 till February, a total of Rs. 3912.67 crore were added to the State treasury whereas the income of March is still to be added. This income during FY 2022-23 was Rs. 3515.27 crore and in 2021-22, the income from registries of assets stood at Rs. 3299.35 crore.

Jimpa further revealed that this income will fuel more expansion this year as Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann has waived off the requirement for NOCs. He also highlighted that systematic efforts have been underway since day one to ensure the Revenue Department operates transparently and free from corruption.
