Stamp and Registration Revenue Up by 16% in One Month: Jimpa
Chandigarh, February 19: Under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, the Punjab government has registered 16.83 percent more income under the head “stamp and registration” in just one month. Revenue Minister Bram Shanker Jimpa said that providing transparent, hassle-free and corruption-free services to the people of Punjab is the main goal of the government led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann and due to this, the revenue of the state is continuously increasing.
Divulging the details, Jimpa said that in January 2024, the state exchequer has received an income of Rs 376.16 crore under stamp and registration, which is 16.83 percent more than January 2023. In January 2023, this income was Rs 321.96 crore.
Jimpa said that the income of the state is continuously increasing. Since assuming office, Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Maan’s Punjab government has made numerous decisions from day one, leading to positive changes in the state. He stressed that efforts to eradicate corruption from Punjab began as soon as the government formed.
Jimpa urged the people of Punjab not to offer any bribes to revenue department officers or employees and to report immediately if anyone requests a bribe. He emphasized that corrupt officers and employees would face consequences without exception.
