Chandigarh, December 19: Renowned lyricist and journalist Shamsher Sandhuexpressed his love for sports. He released his new Poetry book ‘Kithe Kho Gaye Chajj De Bande’ here today. Indian Hockey team Captain Harmanpreet Singh and player Gurjant Singh led the honors.Shamsher Sandhu has earned a reputation for writing songs, stories and prose. He has written nine books so far. Nonetheless, the present one is his first poetry book.
Sandhu’s New Book Celebrates Athletes in Chandigarh
Shamsher Sandhu has made his mark by writing about Kabaddi players and Wrestlers. The author released the new book at the Hockey Stadium in Chandigarh. The Captain of the Indian team Harmanpreet Singh and forward Gurjant Singh attended the event. They were accompanied by sports writer Navdeep Singh Gill. Both the players have won two consecutive bronze medals for India in the Olympic Games in Paris and Tokyo.
Harmanpreet Singh congratulated Shamsher Sandhu. He said that it is a matter of pride for him. Today we are releasing the book of the famous lyricist. He further mentioned the Hockey camps. All the players have been warming up by listening to the songs written by Shamsher Sandhu. He added that noted singers have sung Shamsher Sandhu’s songs.. These include Surjit Bindrakhia, Satwinder Bitti, and Surjit Khan. They have been inspiring us for a long time. He also said that now they will also read the poems of Shamsher Sandhu.

Shamsher Sandhu said that he has written a book of poems for the first time. He did this on the demand of his friends and readers. The book has been published by Chetna Prakashan. The foreword has been written by the great poet Surjit Patar under the title ‘Shamsher Sandhu de chauthi Koot’. This is the final article written by the Late Surjit Patar. In it, he warmly welcomed Shamsher Sandhu as he ventured into the field of poetry. He transitioned after his accomplishments in songs, stories, and prose.He fondly recalled the cherished memories of his university days. Additionally, Prof. Gurbhajan Singh Gill has penned the book’s cover. He has thoughtfully provided a brief overview of the poet’s journey.
