SEC Approves Relief Funds for Crop Damages

Special Chief Secretary Revenue, Relief and Rehabilitation informed that the State Executive Committee in its 38th meeting has approved two proposals of Deputy Commissioner, Bathinda and one proposal of Deputy Commissioner, Sangrur for disbursement of funds for relief to farmers who have suffered crop damage.

The SEC has approved the release of Rs.7,59,22,000/- and Rs. 9,71,508/- out of SDRF funds and Rs. 2,53, 82,000/- and Rs.4,98,41,710/- out of State funds for Distt Bathinda. Further the SEC has approved proposal of

release of Rs. 51,95,137/- from SDRF funds and Rs. 55,67,430/- out of State funds for DisttSangrur.

The SCS Revenue has informed that the rates of compensation to be paid from the state funds are

applicable as per already approved instructions dated 20.06.2018 and 06.04.2023. These instructions are ni force wel before the imposition of the MCC.
