Navjot Sidhu calls upon Punjab DGP Dinkar Gupta, raises issues of Punjab Police personnel
Chandigarh:11th March 2021:
Navjot Singh Sidhu called upon the DGP Punjab, to voice the concerns of Punjab Police Personnel regarding the meagre “Ration Money Allowance” of Rs. 3 per day being paid to Punjab Armed Police and Indian Reserve Police Battalions of Punjab Police.
To know what is right and not to do it is the worse cowardice! Thus, Navjot Singh Sidhu Ji was compelled to write to the DGP Punjab and personally meet to raise the issue with him after having learnt of this genuine grievance shared to him by police personnel on duty at Punjab Vidhan Sabha on 4 March 2021.
Sidhu mentions in the letter to the DGP of the staggering differences in Ration Money Allowance being paid by other Police forces of our Nation and asked him to increase the important allowance given to our Jawans for fulfilling their daily Nutrition requirements.
Our Punjab Police is one of the oldest police force of the country, which has come a long way today protecting our Nation and State against many odds. Punjab Police force has infallibly stood for duty before self, without fear of making the ultimate sacrifice. Therefore, our Police force should be treated at par with the other forces and should be granted Ration Money Allowance along with other reasonable allowances at par with the other forces of our country.
