ਪੰਜਾਬ ਰਾਜ ਅਨੁਸੂਚਿਤ ਜਾਤੀਆਂ ਕਮਿਸ਼ਨ ਨੇ ਸੂਬੇ ਦੇ ਮੁੱਖ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਬਾਰੇ ਸੋਸ਼ਲ ਮੀਡੀਆ ‘ਤੇ ਜਾਤੀਸੂਚਕ ਟਿੱਪਣੀ ਕਰਨ ਦਾ ਸੂ-ਮੋਟੋ ਨੋਟਿਸ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ।
ਇਸ ਬਾਰੇ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਦਿੰਦਿਆਂ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਰਾਜ ਅਨੁਸੂਚਿਤ ਜਾਤੀਆਂ ਕਮਿਸ਼ਨ ਦੇ ਚੇਅਰਪਰਸਨ ਸ੍ਰੀਮਤੀ ਤੇਜਿੰਦਰ ਕੌਰ ਨੇ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਫ਼ੇਸਬੁੱਕ ‘ਤੇ ਇਕ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਨੇ ਮੁੱਖ ਮੰਤਰੀ, ਪੰਜਾਬ ਬਾਰੇ ਜਾਤੀਸੂਚਕ ਅਤੇ ਭੱਦੀ ਕਿਸਮ ਦੀ ਟਿੱਪਣੀ ਕੀਤੀ ਸੀ, ਜੋ ਸੋਸ਼ਲ ਮੀਡੀਆ ‘ਤੇ ਵਾਇਰਲ ਹੈ।
ਚੇਅਰਪਰਸਨ ਨੇ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਟਿੱਪਣੀਆਂ ਦਾ ਸੂ-ਮੋਟੋ ਨੋਟਿਸ ਲੈਂਦਿਆਂ ਡਾਇਰੈਕਟਰ, ਬਿਊਰੋ ਆਫ਼ ਇਨਵੈਸਟੀਗੇਸਨ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਨੂੰ ਅੱਤਿਆਚਾਰ ਨਿਵਾਰਣ ਐਕਟ 1989 ਦੇ ਸੈਕਸ਼ਨ 3 (1) ਤਹਿਤ ਕਾਰਵਾਈ ਕਰਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਜ਼ਿੰਮੇਵਾਰ ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਕਾਰਵਾਈ ਰਿਪੋਰਟ 29 ਸਤੰਬਰ, 2021 ਨੂੰ ਰਿਪੋਰਟ ਪੇਸ਼ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਕਿਹਾ ਹੈ।
Punjab Scheduled Castes’ Commission takes suo-moto notice of casteist remarks against Chief Minister on social media
Directs Bureau of Investigation to take immediate action and submit report by September 29
Chandigarh, September 23:
The Punjab State Commission for Scheduled Castes, on Thursday, has taken suo-moto notice of the casteist remarks against the Chief Minister of the state on social media.
Divulging further, Commission Chairperson Tejinder Kaur informed that on a facebook account, the handler had posted the most abusive and casteist remarks about the Chief Minister, Punjab, which went viral on social media.
Taking suo-moto notice of these remarks, the Chairperson has instructed the Director, Bureau of Investigation Punjab to take action under Section 3 (1) of the Prevention of Atrocities Act, 1989 and submit a report by September 29, 2021.
