Punjab Govt Seeks Applications for State Women Commission

Last date for submission of applications February 5th

Chandigarh, January 30: Dr. Baljit Kaur, the Minister of Social Security, Women and Child Development, announced that the Punjab Government is actively inviting applications from eligible candidates for non-government vacancies of members in the State Women Commission by February 5th.

Interested candidates are urged to submit their applications

Dr. Baljit Kaur stressed the state government’s search for individuals, preferably women, with abilities, integrity, and standing, who have dedicated themselves to the cause of women or possess sufficient knowledge and experience in law, legislation, administration concerning women’s advancement, or leadership in trade unions or voluntary women’s organisations. Interested candidates are urged to submit their applications.

Dr. Baljit Kaur said The Punjab Government’s objective is to recruit one Senior Vice Chairperson, one Vice Chairperson, and ten members (eight General and two SC) for the State Women Commission to effectively implement women welfare schemes.

Applications received after the specified date will not be considered.

Dr. Baljit Kaur said Candidates interested in applying should submit their applications along with their Bio-data to the office of Social Security, Women and Child Development Department, Punjab, SCO No: 102-103, Sector 34-A, Chandigarh, by 5th February 2024. Applications received after the specified date will not be considered.
