Sunam Udham Singh Wala, February 11, 2023: Punjab Government under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann is fully committed to develop the best education system in government schools and to fulfill this objective availability of every facility is being ensured in government schools. Punjab Information and Public Relations, New and Renewable Energy Sources, Urban Development and Housing, Printing and Stationery Minister Aman Arora stated this after laying the foundation stones of the newly constructed classrooms in the Government Senior Secondary Schools at village Nagra and Jakhepal Chauwas. Cabinet Minister Aman Arora said that the Punjab government has approved an amount of Rs. 98 lakh for building 13 new classrooms in 7 senior secondary schools of Sunam constituency of which Rs. 39 lakh has been released as the first installment. Aman Arora said that today the first installment of 48 lakh rupees for 2 classrooms at Nagra, Lakhmirwala, Elwal, Bijalpur, 9 lakh rupees for 3 classrooms at Chauwas, 6 lakh rupees for building 1 classroom each in Shahpur and Tolawal has been released. He said that soon people will see big changes in the field of education and health.

 

The Cabinet Minister said that Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann had specially sent a delegation of 36 teachers to Singapore with the aim of raising the standard of education in government schools so that they would come back and assist in implementing world-class education reforms in their respective schools.

 

Aman Arora said that the Punjab government is systematically working in the direction of providing good infrastructure, constructive environment and the services of intelligent teachers in the field of school education to brighten the future of children and fruitful results will be given soon.

 

While addressing the residents of the villages, Cabinet Minister Aman Arora reiterated the commitment of the all-round development of the state and said that no stone should be left unturned to achieve excellence in education and health as well as to provide maximum facilities to the people. He said that they were working day in, day out for quality development works in every urban and rural area of Sunam constituency.

 

Under the commitment of the Punjab government led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann to provide a clean environment to the citizens, Cabinet Minister Aman Arora today also handed over the approval letter for the purchase of machines worth Rs. 31.70 lakh to the officials of Nagar Panchayat Cheema.

The cabinet minister said that under this project, wet and dry waste will be collected separately through modern machinery. He said that with this amount, loaders costing 3.49 lakh rupees, two machines for picking up dry and wet waste at a cost of 16.54 lakhs, tractor at 9.17 lakhs and trolley at a cost of 2.50 lakhs will be purchased, so that proper management of waste could be done in the future. He instructed the officials that the entire process of procurement of machinery should be carried out in a transparent manner.

 

On this occasion, Principal Government School Nagra Ashok Thakur, Executive Officer Amrit Lal, Block President Nirbhai Singh, Birbal Singh, Kuldeep Singh Sidhu, Bahadur Singh, Darshan Singh, Gurpreet Singh, Geeti Mann, Jasvir Singh Seera, LeaderJagtar Singh Tari Nagra, Gurtej Singh Nagra, Rana Jawandha, Lakhwinder Singh Nagra, Labh Singh Nilowal, Parminder Singh Dhaliwal, Gurcharan Singh, Gurtej Singh, Sarpanch Makhan Singh, Saisi Singh Member, Lal Singh, Raj Singh, Jarnail Singh, Nirbhai Singh among several other dignitaries were also present.
