CM Hands Over Appointment Letters to 951 ETT Teachers
The Chief Minister addressed the gathering in a function to hand over appointment letters to 951 ETT teachers. He congratulated all the youth for getting these jobs. By obtaining these jobs, the youth become active partners in the social and economic development of Punjab. He said that the state government is working tirelessly for the holistic development of Punjab. This requires young and qualified youth. Bhagwant Singh Mann said that the state government has embarked on this massive recruitment drive. The aim is to put the state on a high growth trajectory.

The Chief Minister urged the newly recruited teachers to become catalysts for the Education Revolution in the state. He emphasized the need to improve the standard of education. The Chief Minister said that he is the son of a teacher. He knows well that teachers are nation builders. They groom the students for becoming officers, engineers, doctors, and other leaders. Bhagwant Singh Mann said that the teachers of government schools are the best as they are well qualified and capable. However, previous regimes assigned them to non-teaching work. However, he said that his government has ensured teachers use their services only for teaching.
The Chief Minister said that earlier the schools were vacant. The water tanks in front of schools were full. The teaching aspirants climbed on them due to agitation. However, he said that his government has reversed the trend. They have given jobs to the youth. These young people are now teaching the students and contributing to the progress of the state. Bhagwant Singh Mann said that earlier the convent educated leaders were not aware of the basic realities of the state. They had ignored this key sector. This neglect caused Punjab to lag behind in the path of progress.

The Chief Minister reiterated that the state government fills all the posts as soon as they are vacant in the department. He said that they have adopted a foolproof mechanism for the entire recruitment process. This ensures that no one has challenged even a single appointment out of these more than 52,000 jobs in any court so far. Bhagwant Singh Mann stated that the government of Punjab takes pride in giving government jobs to these youth. They grant these positions solely based on merit.

The Chief Minister said that it is a momentous occasion when these youth are becoming the part of the family of Punjab government. He expressed hope that these youth will become an active partner in the socio-economic development of the state by joining these respective departments. Bhagwant Singh Mann said that for the first time in the history of the state, any government has given a record number of more than 52,000 jobs to the youth in 36 months of coming into power.
The Chief Minister said it is a matter of immense pride for him. He is satisfied that all the jobs have been given completely on the basis of merit. There is no corruption or nepotism. He said that the state government is working to ensure that no one from the state migrates abroad. This is to fulfill the dreams of our freedom fighters.Bhagwant Singh Mann said that the state government’s strenuous efforts have already led to reverse migration in the state.Youth are returning from abroad to serve here.
CM Mann Vows to Unite Like-Minded Parties Against BJP’s Tactics
The Chief Minister stated that the Aam Aadmi Party will collaborate with like minded parties. They aim to vehemently oppose the BJP. The opposition is against using delimitation to eliminate political opponents. Bhagwant Singh Mann said that he will be visiting Chennai. He will oppose the undemocratic methodology adopted by the Union government. This raises suspicions about the intent of the BJP and its coterie. Bhagwant Singh Mann said all the like minded parties will unite. They will stand together against the Union government’s repression to muzzle democracy.
The Chief Minister said that the state government is cleaning the mess created by the previous regimes. He said that the drug mafia was patronized by the earlier governments but his government has launched a crusade against drugs. Bhagwant Singh Mann said meticulous planning has been done to eliminate the menace of drugs from the state. Now, the war against drugs has begun in a full-fledged manner.
The Chief Minister said that apart from snapping the supply lines of drugs the state government has put the big fishes involved in this crime behind the bars. He said that apart from this due focus is being laid on the rehabilitation of the victims of drugs. Bhagwant Singh Mann said that now the property of the drug peddlers is being seized and destroyed adding that this noble cause cannot be accomplished without active public support.
On the occasion, Cabinet Ministers Harjot Singh Bains and Hardeep Singh Mundian, Rajya Sabha MP Sanjeev Arora and others were also present.
