PUNJAB COOPERATIVE SECTOR TO ADOPT BEST PRACTICES IMPLEMENTED BY OTHER STATES: SUKHJINDER SINGH RANDHAWA
COOPERATION MINISTER VISITS U.P. TO STUDY HIGH END COMPUTERIZATION OF COOPERATIVE INSTITUTIONS
Chandigarh/Lucknow, March 13:
In a bid to study the high end computerization of the Cooperative sector institutions in Uttar Pradesh and replicate the same in Punjab, the Cooperation Minister S. Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa paid a visit to the head office of the UP Cooperative Bank at Lucknow.
The Minister accompanied by the Registrar, Cooperative Societies, Punjab Vikas Garg, MD Punjab State Cooperative Bank Hargunjit Kaur, AMD Jagdish Singh Sidhu and a team from BSNL headed by GM (EB) Punjab Circle Suresh Chander Badal, was also given a presentation by the UP Government about the computerisation of Apex societies of the cooperative sphere and Primary Agricultural Credit Societies (PACS).
During the presentation, the Unified CBS product for the Cooperatives, partially implemented at UPCB, was effectively showcased. The BSNL offered unified communication platform, consisting of DC/DR/MPLS/Last mile compute on a long term Op Ex model.
The Minister also visited the District cooperative Bank Limited at
Barabanki as well as the Jyoli Sahakari Society and said the purpose of the visit is to adopt the best practices being implemented by the Government of Uttar Pradesh to modernize the Cooperative sector.
