AAP will announce candidates for Ludhiana and Jalandhar on April 16: CM Bhagwant Mann

Chandigarh, April 10 The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) will announce its Lok Sabha candidates for Ludhiana and Jalandhar on April 16th. AAP Punjab President, CM Bhagwant Mann shared this through his X account.

AAP has already announced nine Lok Sabha candidates

The AAP has already announced nine Lok Sabha candidates in Punjab, including cabinet ministers.In its initial list, the party named candidates for various constituencies: Gurmeet Singh Meet Hayer for Sangrur, Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal for Amritsar, Laljit Singh Bhullar for Khadoor Sahib, Gurmeet Singh Khuddian for Bathinda, Gurpreet Singh GP for Fatehgarh Sahib, Karamjeet Anmol for Faridkot, and Dr. Balbir Singh for Patiala.

total to 11 out of 13 candidates announced

Transitioning to its second list, the party nominated its chief spokesperson in Punjab, Malvinder Singh Kang, for the Anandpur Sahib constituency, and Dr. Raj Kumar Chabbewal for the Hoshiarpur Lok Sabha seat. Furthermore, in its third list scheduled for April 16, the party will unveil two additional candidates, thereby bringing the total to 11 out of 13 candidates announced thus far.

AAP won from four constituencies

Jalandhar is SC reserved seat and consist of 9 assembly constituencies.   During the 2022 Punjab assembly elections, the AAP secured victories in four constituencies. However, just a year earlier, in the Jalandhar bypoll, the Aam Aadmi Party achieved a resounding triumph by a margin of more than 58,000 votes. Since then, the party has continued to consolidate its position on this seat. Furthermore, for Ludhiana, the Aam Aadmi Party triumphed in 8 out of 9 assembly constituencies in the 2022 Punjab assembly elections.
