Chandigarh, January 2 , updatepunjab: The chief spokesperson of AAP Punjab, Malvinder Singh Kang, expressed gratitude to Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann for transforming Punjab State Power Corporation Limited (PSPCL) into a profit-making unit.
Kang highlighted key initiatives, including acquiring the Goindwal Sahib power plant, clearing pending arrears, and utilizing coal from the Pachhwara mine. The AAP government’s focus on strengthening public sectors aligns with their commitment to providing free facilities, reducing financial burdens, and generating employment.
Kang emphasised the government’s efforts to empower public institutions, citing the acquisition of the thermal plant at a reduced cost. The AAP government’s achievements include supplying uninterrupted electricity during the paddy season and operating the Pachhwara coal mine efficiently.
Kang reiterated the party’s commitment to reversing the trend of selling government institutes for personal gains, emphasizing the vigilance against corruption in power purchase agreements. The people of Punjab, having given a historic mandate to Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, witness the government fulfilling their expectations through pro-people and pro-Punjab decisions.
Kang emphasized that the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) is actively reversing the prevailing trend of politicians selling government institutes for personal profits. Instead, the party is engaged in acquiring private companies to provide facilities to the people without imposing financial burdens. He further stated that the Vigilance Bureau is actively investigating Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs), ensuring that individuals responsible for exploiting the public exchequer for personal gains will face consequences.
Kang asserted that the people of Punjab, through a historic mandate, have entrusted Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann and the AAP government. He highlighted that with each pro-people and pro-Punjab decision, the government is consistently meeting the expectations of the people.
