The message of covid vaccination has started resonating through street play on various parts of district Barnala. The students of Lal Bahadur Shastri College have voluntarily stepped forward to put in efforts for increasing covid vaccination coverage.
The play was performed before the SDM, Panchayat and Principal LBS Neelam Sharma.
SDM Barnala Varjeet Walia said that the play is symbolic and will not be performed physically. He said that public was not present to ensure that adherence to gathering restrictions is maintained.
All participants of the play, being above 18 years of age, have vowed to get vaccinated from 1st May onwards when the drive for vaccination of all adults starts. They called upon others too above age of 18 to follow the suit.
The team today presented street play at villages Chananwal, Kalalan and Chuhanke, while adhering to covid guidelines.
Walia added that this was an innovative idea of educating the civil society on importance of getting vaccination done and not giving an ear to rumours. He added that the civil society should join hands with Barnala district administration in order to make Barnala Corona free.
This can only be done by answering the cause of district administration Barnala to get vaccinated repeatedly, by not hoarding oxygen cylinders, important medicines and by following the Covid-19 orders of Punjab government.
