Ludhiana, March 3: Lauding the Punjab government for its myriad of steps towards the development of Punjab and its people every day, the local residents said that Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann’s government has ignited a new hope among Punjabis for a better future.

Footwear Ass and Kuku Exports Laud CM Mann’s Initiatives

Varun Jairth from the Footwear Association commended Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann for promptly accepting the demand to extend the deadline of the OTS scheme for two months. The authorities have extended the deadline from March 15 to May 15.

Dinesh Puri from Kuku Exports appreciated the noble initiative of Mann Government’s ‘Aap Di Sarkar Aap De Dwar’ as he got the birth certificate of his son within half an hour in one of the camps near his house. He also urged the CM to check the import of fabric from China at skewed prices, following which CM Bhagwant Singh Mann said that he would raise the issue with the union government in this regard.

Taxpayers Benefit from ‘Mera Bill, Mera Adhikar’ App

Harmeek Singh from Baba Chicken hailed ‘Mera Bill, Mera Adhikar’ app as now, it has given a fair playing field to the taxpayers. The non-taxpayers have also started filling tax as the app has became a major check on the bogus bills. On his request of saving ground water, CM said that apart from facilitating surface water to the fields, soon Canal water would also be provided to the industry unit. He said that 24×7 Sidhwan canal based surface water supply project would be started soon in the Ludhiana.

Talwinder Kumar, a Tissue Manufacturer, also hailed the CMs for fulfilling the all promises made to the people. CM Bhagwant Singh Mann immediately accepted his demand of installing CCTVs in Doraha and Khanna.

Industry Leaders Thank CM Mann for Swift Actions

Rajesh Gupta from Integrated textile & Knitwears thanked CM Bhagwant Singh Mann for ensuring refunds credited in time. CM Bhagwant Singh Mann assured to take up the issue with GST council regarding relief for tax paid on capital goods.

Rajinder Singh, president small scale textile association, thanked CM for launching PP Sanjh app as it has promptly ensured verification of the labourers. He also mentioned that government departments, especially PPCB, were clearing all NOCs and other letters submitted on the same day.

invest Punjab Scheme Gains Traction

Rajiv Jain from Plastic Manufacturers and Traders Association requested the lifting of the ban on 120 microns plastic bags in Punjab. CM Bhagwant Mann assured that the required amendment in the act would be made soon.

Gobinder Singh, a bee keeper appreciated Invest Punjab scheme and said that he got the subsidy worth Rs 17.5 lakh for the establishment of a bee keeping unit. He also appealed other investors to avail the benefits of various schemes under Invest Punjab.

Trader Applauds State Government’s Support

Another trader, Suresh Dhir, lauded the state government for safeguarding the interests of the trading community. He mentioned that the government was already resolving the issue of dangling wires in the markets, which had been pending for the last few decades. They were clearing permits submitted to government departments, especially to PPCB, on the same day.
