NAGALAND DAY CELEBRATIONS ENTHRALL CHANDIGARH AT NATIONAL CRAFTS MELA
In a dazzling display of cultural vibrancy, the National Crafts Mela in Chandigarh commemorated Nagaland Foundation Day, becoming a tapestry of traditions and celebrations. The event, graced by Sh. Banwarilal Purohit, Governor of Punjab and Administrator UT Chandigarh.
The event featured a mesmerizing performance by the esteemed Mr. Veswuzo Phesao and his group from Dimapur, Nagaland, enchanting the audience with traditional Tati singing, along with a soulful rendition of the Hindi song “Jane Wallon Zara.”
The Nagaland-themed entrance to the Fair, tastefully designed, transported visitors to the enchanting land of wonders. The main stage, adorned with ethnic craftsmanship, further immersed attendees in the rich cultural heritage of Nagaland. The festivities highlighted the unique identity of Nagaland, celebrating its rich history and traditions.
A noteworthy aspect of the celebration was the inclusion of various instruments native to Nagaland, showcased at the crafts Mela. This not only provided a platform for cultural exchange but also offered visitors a rare opportunity to explore the distinctive musical heritage of the region.
