SAS Nagar, December 22:
In yet another public friendly policing gesture, Mohali Police under the directions of SSP Satinder Singh organizes interaction with the representatives of Residents Welfare Associations.
Presiding over the interaction meet, SP Rural, Ravjot Grewal informed that the purpose of the meet was to forge good relationship with society through community policing. It is indeed a pleasure to share that Presidents of 79 Residents Welfare Associations(RWAs) responded to the our initiative resulting in exhaustive exchange of ideas, said she. The emphasis was on tenet and servant verification as well as the security agencies. “We have set the ball rolling; similar interactions will be organized at different levels in the district so that the concept of Community Policing becomes popular and police public partnership emerges as an effective answer to handle complex situations”, said Ravjot Grewal.
The meeting was held in Kharar-1 subdivision with special efforts by DSP Rupinder Deep Kaur who informed that many interesting suggestions were given by the presidents RWAs.
