Modern Library Completed in Abohar, Dedication Soon
ABOHAR , JANUARY 28: Deputy Commissioner Dr. Senu Duggal on Wednesday disclosed that the modern library constructed at Abohar by Punjab government led by Chief minister Bhagwant Singh Mann with cost of Rs. 3.42 Crores is complete and ready to be dedicated to people of the area, especially students who would make use of the upcoming facility for their future nurturing.
The Deputy Commissioner emphasized her commitment to providing ample resources for the city’s students, stating that the 120-seating capacity modern library at Abha Square is equipped with all the necessary facilities to engage and encourage youngsters towards reading and studying. She expressed her intent to establish additional facilities like this in the near future, aiming to further support the educational needs of the community.
Our district has great potential to tap youth talent in studies, and with hard work and sincerity of efforts, the District Administration will provide constructive platforms for them to excel at school and college level, the DC said.
Out of Rs. 3.42 Crores, 2.15 Crores have been received through the Special Package of Border Area Fund. The Library is lassed with all necessary amenities including Wi-Fi, CCTVs and Air Conditioning. Provision of a Librarian, caretaker has been made to ensure proper working of the Library, the DC further said.
