Punjab government led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann is continuously striving to provide basic facilities, clean and pollution free environment to the people of the state. Expressing this, Local Government Minister Dr. Inderbir Singh Nijjar said that the state government is taking decisions in public interest.
Working in this direction, Local Government Minister, Dr.Inderbir Singh Nijjar, a review meeting regarding various issues of Punjab related to department was held today at Municipal Bhawan Sector-35 Chandigarh.
Giving information in this regard, Local Government Minister Dr. Inderbir Singh Nijjar reviewed the pending cases of Building Plan, NOC and CLU in this meeting and instruction given to the officials to immediately dispose of the pending cases so that better facilities can be provided to the people of the state. He also said that illegal constructions in urban areas is a serious matter. Therefore, he directed the officials to take immediate action against those doing illegal constructions.
Cabinet Minister has directed the officials to ensure that maintenance/repair of roads, parks, grills, street lights are done on a priority basis. Apart from this, he said that action should be taken on the basis of priority regarding cleanliness of the city, cleaning of public places, public toilets and removing illegal cable hanging around the roads.
Minister said that the main objective of the Punjab government led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann is to provide basic facilities and corruption free administration to the people of the State. For this, he also said to the Commissioner, Municipal Corporations and Additional Deputy Commissioner (Urban Development) to set up camps to listen to the problems of the people and resolve the problems of the people on the spot.
On this occasion, Principal Secretary Local Government, Director Local Government, All Commissioner Municipal Corporations and Additional Deputy Commissioner (Urban Development) and other senior officials of Local Government Department were present in the meeting
