CBI Probe Reveals Kirshan’s Close Ties With Top IPS, IAS Officers
Chandigarh: Significant facts have come to light during the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) probe into the corruption case involving DIG Harcharan Singh Bhullar. The CBI has arrested Bhullar and a civilian, Kirshanu , for allegedly acting as key intermediaries in the case. Sources said Kirshanu had close ties with several IPS and IAS personnel. Sources said Investigation revealed that he was regularly sending messages to around 70 officers and employees of the Punjab Civil Secretariat. WhatsApp chats recovered during the investigation showed that Kirshanu frequently sent” messages every day. CBI sources also said that during interrogation, Kirshanu had named several senior officials with whom he had close personal relationships.
The CBI is currently examining how Kirshanu established these connections and to what extent he acted as an intermediary between officials and others. . Following Kirshanu revelations, the CBI has expanded the scope of its probe,
Sources added. A number of police officers are said to be under pressure and other names are expected to come forward in connection with the case. The sourse has confirmed that the investigation is ongoing and further important facts are likely to come out in the coming days. Only time will tell how the CBI investigation will turn out.
