In a major development in the ongoing investigation of Case FIR No. 22/2025 at Police Station VB, FS-1, Punjab, the Vigilance Bureau has summoned Gajpat Singh Grewal, brother-in-law of former minister and accused Bikram Singh Majithia.
According to official sources, Grewal was directed to appear before the Investigating Officer on September 15, 2025, but he failed to turn up without citing any valid reason.
Following his absence, the Investigating Officer has now issued fresh summons under Section 179 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS), 2023. Grewal has been ordered to appear on September 16, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Vigilance Bhawan, Sector 68, Mohali.
