While, Advocate Chandra Shekhar Azad, who was not present during the press conference due to some urgent work, telephonically spoke to reporters to share their party’s priorities.
Earlier, addressing a press conference here today, Jathedar Ranjit Singh Brahmpura said that for their party, Panth is supreme but unfortunately, some anti-Panthak and anti-Punjab forces are working to undermine the Sikh spirit and ethical and religious values of Punjab. Hence, people are desperately wishing for a third alternative front who can give a tough fight to the family politics in Punjab.
He said that the Badal family had not only done a great disservice to the Sikh faith but had also badly damaged the decency of the Akal Takhat.
There is no one above Shri Akal Takhat Sahib and Jathedar of Shri Akal Takhat Sahib but as Deputy Chief Minister of the state Sukhbir Singh Badal had summoned Jathedar of Shri Akal Takhat Sahib and even passed an order to forgive those involved sacrilege of Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji is a heinous act, said Jathedar Brahmpura.
Jathedar Brahmpura clarified that now is the time to remove the dominance of the Badal family from the Shiromani Akali Dal, Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee and Shri Akal Takhat Sahib and again the etiquette of Shri Akal Takhat Sahib and principle should be restored.
Addressing the media persons, Sukhdev Singh Dhindsa said that today the Badals have taken the place of the mahants who at one time treated Gurdwara as their Jagirs (their own property) and misused the power assigned to them.
“Now the right time has come that the Sikh Panth should teach a lesson to the Badals just like mahants were taught and the Badal family should be shown doors,” said S. . Sukhdev Singh Dhindsa.
He said that today there is a need for the entire Sikh community to come together under the banner of Shiromani Akali Dal (Sanyukt), a party that upholds the true principles of Akali Dal and create a new image of Shiromani Akali Dal.
- Dhindsa said on behalf of Shiromani Akali Dal (Sanyukt) he would assure that the dominance of the Badal family over the century-old Shiromani Akali Dal would be ended by liaising with all Panthak Peers and well-wishers of Punjab as the Badals had tarnished the image of the party which has a glorious history of many supreme sacrifices.
He further said that in the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee elections also the same candidates would be declared who are not interested in political positions and are adherents of Sikh principles. Interference of politicians in Gurdwaras will be stopped, said S. Dhindsa.
Responding to media question regarding the announcement of alliance with the parties, S. Dhindsa said that coming together of all these regional parties having the same Panthak ideology is the need of the hour so as to remove the traditional parties from power and to create a third strong front to bring about change as per the wishes of the people of the state.
“This alliance is their first step taken in this direction and this alliance would represent Punjab, Punjabi and Punjabiyat in the state and build a prosperous Punjab,” said S. Dhindsa.
He said freeing Punjab from the clutches of various mafias currently operating in Punjab is the utmost priority of this alliance. Besides this their party would also ensure that the investment in the education sector the state would be systematically increased and the industry which had disappeared from Punjab due to increased corruption in the government machinery that functioned under Akali Dal, and now Congress would be brought back on track, added S. Dhindsa.
He also said that by 2025, agricultural income would be increased by 50 percent. By creating employment opportunities in Punjab, the youth of Punjab will be discouraged from going abroad in search of employment, rather ample employment opportunities would be created in the State only.
“Young generation has an important role to play in bringing in any change and such changes are impossible without the participation of youth. Therefore, we will give 50 percent representation to the youth in every field through this alliance,” said S. Dhindsa.
- Sukhdev Singh Dhindsa said that Azad Samaj Party (Bhim Army) actually represents the youth of Bahujan Samaj. It’s national president Advocate Chandrasekhar azad is a role model for independent youth. Besides this, the presence of Bibi Swaran Kaur, the sister of a great personality like late Babu Kanshiram, on one platform, is a testament to the fact that this is the real Bahujan Samaj that adheres to the principles and thinking of Babu Kanshiram,” said S. Dhindsa.
He said that the alliance of Shiromani Akali Dal (Sanyukt), Aazad Samaj Party, Bhim Army, Shiromani Akali Dal Kriti and Indian Union Muslim League had paved the way for the prosperity of Punjab by forming a third strong front.
Opposing the three black laws enacted by the BJP-led central government, Dhindsa said that after the coming of our government, their party would pass a resolution in the assembly to repeal all the three laws and reduce the dependence on the central government in agriculture. When the income of farmers would increase then the income of agricultural workers would also increase, he added.
On the occasion, National General Secretary of Aazad Samaj Party M L Tomar and Punjab President, Rajiv Kumar Lovely said that as a third front we are committed to give the responsibility of State Chief Minister to a person who can uphold the true values of Guru Sahibs and can work honestly, diligently and fearlessly for the betterment of Punjab and Punjabiyat.
