
Arvind Kejriwal SAYS THAT REFORMS IN EDUCATION AND HEALTH SECTOR IS THE REAL SERVICE OF NATION BUILDING
Chandigarh, July 8: National Convener of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Arvind Kejriwal on Tuesday said that Mukh Mantri Sehat Yojna is a step towards providing universal healthcare facilities to people without spending even a penny on it. Arvind Kejriwal addressed the gathering after the launch of Mukh Mantri SEHAT Yojna here today. He said that this work being done today should have been done 50 years ago. Unfortunately, it was never on the agenda of those who ruled the country. He said that due to this only the AAP has always focused on providing quality Health and Education services to the people so that they can excel in life. Arvind Kejriwal said that those who claim to make the country Vishavguru have not provided these facilities to the country. Because of this, the country has lagged behind.
Kejriwal Highlights Punjab’s No. 1 Rank in Education, Healthcare Gains
Citing examples of countries like Singapore, Japan, Germany and others, Arvind Kejriwal said that they excelled because these countries had focused on these issues. He said that the work which is being done by AAP these days is the real work of nation building. Giving an example, Arvind Kejriwal said that due to strenuous efforts of the state government Punjab is today at number one in the GoI’s National Achievement Survey in Education whereas it was on 17th rank in 2017.
Arvind Kejriwal said that due to the concerted efforts of the state government, Punjab is today excelling in every sphere whether it is education, health or development. He said that the state government has opened 881 Aam Aadmi Clinics in the state. These clinics are providing free treatment to all. He added that 200 more such clinics will be dedicated soon. Arvind Kejriwal said that now Mukh Mantri Sehat Yojna is being introduced in the state. It will be operational from October 2. After that, camps will be organized to enroll the people for the scheme.
Mukh Mantri Sehat Yojna : Punjab Launches Rs 10 Lakh Cashless Yojna for All
Arvind Kejriwal said that this is a step towards providing universal health care and ensuring that people get cashless treatment worth Rs 10 lakh. He congratulated the people on this red letter day and said that only an honest government will bother for the well being of the common man. Arvind Kejriwal stated that the state government has not levied any fresh taxes on the people. Instead, they have checked the pilferage of public money. This money is being spent on the development and welfare of people.
Arvind Kejriwal said that today is a historic day for the healthcare sector in Punjab as under the Mukh Mantri Sehat Yojana, every family in Punjab will now receive cashless treatment up to ₹10 lakh. He stated that Punjab, under the leadership of Bhagwant Mann, has become the first state in the country to offer this benefit. Every family is entitled to cashless treatment of up to ₹10 lakh. Arvind Kejriwal said that starting today, the entire population of 3 crore in the state will be eligible. Everyone can receive free treatment under this scheme.
Punjab Doubles Free Healthcare Cover to ₹10 Lakh: Kejriwal
Arvind Kejriwal said that, earlier, a family could avail treatment only up to ₹5 lakh. Now, this limit has been increased to ₹10 lakh. He said that with the launch of this scheme, Punjab has set a new example for the rest of the country. Arvind Kejriwal stated that Punjab is now the first state in India to provide its citizens with free healthcare. It also offers free education, electricity, and bus travel.
Arvind Kejriwal said that the Punjab government is acting on the message of Sarbat da Bhala (welfare of all) given by the great Gurus. It has taken steps for the well-being of all sections of society. He said that every citizen of Punjab will be entitled to free healthcare, whether they are government employees or pensioners. There is no income limit under this scheme. Arvind Kejriwal said that, previously, only eligible families could benefit from treatment up to ₹5 lakh. Now, all citizens are covered.
Kejriwal Launches Health Card Scheme for Free Treatment
Arvind Kejriwal said that people can make health cards under this scheme at Seva Kendras or Common Service Centers (CSCs). He added that people can also get health cards through online registration.Individuals can use an Aadhaar card or voter ID for this purpose. Arvind Kejriwal stated that under this scheme, any citizen can avail free treatment at any government hospital. They can also receive free treatment at empanelled private hospitals. He envisioned that now, no citizen of Punjab will have to forgo treatment due to financial constraints. He added that the state government will continue more such pro-people and development-oriented initiatives in the coming days too.
