-Says, the AAP government led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann will deliver justice to the Sikh Sangat in all cases
Chandigarh, 7 July:
In the first case of sacrilege of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji, a Moga court on Thursday sentenced three people to three-year jail. A fine of Rs 5,000 each was also imposed on them.
Welcoming the court’s verdict, senior Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader and Rajya Sabha MP Raghav Chadha said that three persons were sentenced today to three years in Samalsar (Moga) sacrilege matter. Finally, the nefarious protection of Akali-Congress is over. Justice shall prevail in AAP Government under Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann.
Lashing out at Congress and Akali Dal, AAP MP said that after getting a crucial judgement in the Behbal Kalan case, AAP Govt successfully ensures that perpetrators of “beadbi” are sent to Jail. Can the unholy Akali-Congress alliance claim a single similar action?
Blaming the previous governments for these sinful crimes, Chadha said that the Akalis allowed it to happen. Congress shielded the guilty. Finally, AAP Govt under the leadership of CM Mann made sure that persons guilty of “beadbi” are sentenced to jail.
“Justice has prevailed in the Courts today. “Beadbi” (sacrilege) accused sent to jail. Now it is for the Court of the People of Punjab to sentence the political persons who were complicit in “beadbi” by their action / inaction,” said MP Chadha.
Pertinently, pages of Guru Granth Sahib were found on the streets of Malke village in this district in 2015 and later a case against unidentified persons was registered at Samalsar police station.
