Jimpa holds meeting with Punjab State District Offices Employees Union
Assures quick resolution of their legitimate demands
Chandigarh, June 06
The Revenue Minister, Punjab, Mr. Bram Shanker Jimpa on Tuesday held a meeting with the Punjab Raj Zila Daftar Karamchari Union (Punjab State District Office Employees Union) and discussed their issues in detail, assuring early resolution of their legitimate demands.
During the meeting held here at Punjab Bhawan, Mr. Bram Shanker Jimpa gave a patient hearing to each issue raised by the union leaders. He assured the union that Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann led Punjab Governmebnt has been already working for the solution of all their legitimate demands.
Regarding the issue of vacant posts in the district offices, the Revenue Minister said that a massive recruitment drive has been launched by the Punjab government to fill all the vacant posts. He said that so far about 29000 youths have been recruited by the Punjab Government for various posts. He asked the officials of the Revenue Department to expedite the process for filling up the vacant posts at the district level offices.
Regarding the demand to restore the posts abolished during the reorganization besides creating some new posts, the Revenue Minister said that some of matters related to this demand were already under the consideration of the Finance Department. He said that the proposal regarding the restoration or new creation of other important posts would also be sent to the Finance Department soon. The Revenue Minister also assured to solve the issues related to inter-district transfers soon.
Additional Chief Secretary-cum-Financial Commissioner Revenue and Rehabilitation Mr. K. A. P. Sinha, Secretary General Administration Mr. Kumar Rahul and I.G. P. (Intelligence) S. Jaskaran Singh were also present in this meeting.
