"India Beats Japan as 4th Largest Economy – PM Modi’s Vision Leads the Way" : Jakhar
The Chandigarh : 10 June: The 11years of BJP under Prime Minister Narendra Modi has ushered in a period of unprecedented growth for the country. Bharat has become the 4th largest economy in the world . Said State Party President Sunil Jakhar at a press conference here today.
Jakhar Hails India’s 6.5% Growth, Surpassing Japan
Jakhar while lauding the 6.5 phenomenal growth rate of the country said that our nation has crossed even Japan. This is not a coincidence. It is an absolute commitment to work on policies, principles, and priorities. Important decisions that usher in change for the county were taken in the last 11 years.
The State Party President recalled the various achievements in the last 11 years of the Bharatiya Janata Party rule and said that it was a great achievement that the government had provided free rations to 81 crore people, given health insurance benefits to 55 crore people, built 4 crore houses for the disadvantaged, supplied drinking water facilities to 50 crore households, and constructed crores of toilets across the nation.”
India’s 55,000 km Highways & Economic Growth Creating Jobs
Jakhar reasoned that 6.5 growth rate has led to Industrial growth which has translated into employment for the citizenry of the nation . “ The infrastructure of the nation be it the extensive construction of Highways , Bridges has changed the entire landscape in the country ushering in progress and prosperity . 55000 kilo metres in Highways and Expressways is a phenomenal achievement. “
Hailing the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi Jakhar said that in 2014 there were a meagre 8 AIIMS in the country today we have 24 , 3 times more in 11 years. In Punjab, we have an AIIMS in Bhatinda. It is a huge medical facility. Soon, more hospitals of this level will be established in other towns in the state. He said.

Speaking on the significant achievements the State Party President of Bharatiya Janta Party said that making the North East seven sister states as an Integral part of the country was no small achievement. On the topic of Triple Talaq, he mentioned that only Mr Narendra Modi has the conviction. He also noted Mr Modi’s integrity to implement justice for women.Our country was practicing a law which even Islamic states do not apply.
Jakhar emphasised that women rights and equality were a keen concern of the Bharatiya Janata Party. He stated that the women reservation bill was a historic bill to be passed.
The social fabric of the country in the last 11 years has become more pronouncedly progressive. Equality and distribution of wealth and opportunity for all is not a pipe dream but a reality. The ease of living and ease of doing business has improved the lives of millions. The substantial increase in MSP has led to increased income in Punjab as we are primarily an agricultural economy. The food grain purchase this year so far has been 68, 771 crore while in 2014 it was 32,211 crores.
Jakhar answered a query on Rahul Gandhi. The 11 years have not seen any progress. He said “
The 6.5 growth rate is noteworthy. It is the 4th largest economy in the world. There is development in the infrastructure. Women empowerment is happening. Significant bills are being passed. These are all visible achievements. Unfortunately, if someone wants to have a “myopic view,” then it is lamentable.
Jakhar took a serious note on the economy in the state. He also noted the law and order situation. He regretted that, unfortunately, the AAP lacked vision. They also lacked commitment and integrity to address the issues.
